MagniClear® and MagniClear plus®

MagniClear and MagniClear plus combine the clear distance optics of a spherical lens, the intermediate visual performance of a multifocal and the predictably crisp, near power of a bifocal—all in one easy step.

MagniClear and MagniClear plus provide:

  • A wide range of posterior surface design options, including spherical, aspheric and back toric.
  • A tri-zone front surface designed to achieve acuity at all distances.

The lenses have a distance center design with a peripheral near outer ring. The near add is blended much like a progressive spectacle lens so there’s no abrupt jump when entering the intermediate and near zones.

The MagniClear plus additionally provides an enhanced near power effect for higher add powers, while controlling lens mass and peripheral edge lift.

The MagniClear and MagniClear plus is ideal for:

  • Patients 50 years or older and needs an add power from a +1.00D to +4.50D
  • Current single vision GP lens wearers who now need a reading add. The MagniClear and MagniClear plus design can be ordered with the same lens size and base curve fitting relationships that the patient was successfully wearing in a single vision lens. This includes back toric lens designs.
  • Patients who need good vision at all distances, including intermediate distance vision for computer use.
  • Patients with solid motivation and realistic expectations.
