MESA, ARIZONA – Paragon Vision Sciences unveils Paragon RG-4 as an alternate corneal reshaping lens. RG-4, a more traditional four-curve design, was added as a product extension in response to requests from practitioners that had developed their clinical expertise with the traditional reverse geometry designs and preferred to stay with that technology while enjoying the benefits of working with Paragon and our Lab Partners. Paragon CRT®, with its powerful Diagnostic Dispensing System, remains the recommended lens and fitting system of choice to practitioners, particularly practitioners new to the modality of corneal reshaping.
RG-4 is manufactured in Paragon HDS®100, which is approved for overnight corneal reshaping. The high Dk of HDS®100 provides 18% more permeability than competitive corneal reshaping lenses. RG-4 will be laser marked for immediate parameter identification and will be plasma treated for improved comfort. RG-4 will require certification and can be fit empirically or using a diagnostic set manufactured from Paragon HDS® 100, the same material as CRT®.

As the network of certified CRT® practitioners grows monthly, the six-year anniversary of Paragon CRT® marked nearly 6,000 worldwide practitioners offering the modality as an alternative to LASIK, soft disposable lenses and glasses. RG-4 will increase the success rate for many practitioners who have grown comfortable with traditional four-curve reverse geometry designs. RG-4 will only be sold in the U.S.A.
