Art Optical is pleased to announce the availability of Renovation™, their latest innovation in presbyopic lens design. Specially developed with the needs of the mature presbyopic patient in mind, Renovation is perfectly suited for presbyopic patients requiring add powers of +2.25 and greater. Using advanced ray tracing technology, Art Optical created the Renovation architecture to eliminate spherical aberration and insure proper focus of near, intermediate and distance power ranges through all parameter combinations.
Unique features of the lens include a flexible, front-surface eccentricity control platform that eliminates spherical aberration, allowing patients to translate into the near zone effortlessly without encountering optical distortion; an adjustable distance/intermediate zone diameter to accommodate small pupils for enhanced near vision and large pupils for reduced flare and glare; and a flexible, automated thickness control feature to reduce lens mass and improve lens centration and wearing comfort, even at higher add powers.
Renovation can be fit empirically in four simple steps and is available with an optional six-month fitting warranty. An 11-lens diagnostic fitting set is also available for practitioners who prefer trial lens fitting.
