Ampleye Scleral Lenses Now Available with Microvault Customization
Grand Rapids, MI (August 24, 2023) – Art Optical is pleased to announce that a microvault option is now available for the Ampleye scleral lens. The addition of a microvault to the Ampleye profile will allow practitioners to precisely accommodate for the presence of scleral irregularities (i.e. filtering blebs, pingueculae, etc.) Based on the estimated width (mm) and height (um) of the scleral elevation, the microvault can be customized and placed at any point, 360 degrees, along the edge of the lens. The microvault generates an area of lift that is specific to the unique contour of the patient’s sclera creating a uniform landing. Widely recognized for being easy to fit due to its intelligently designed trial set that reduces the need for multiple on-eye diagnostic applications and saves chair time, the Ampleye scleral lens also offers a full suite of custom features. In addition to the new microvault capability, practitioners also have full control of each of the four independent fitting zones, lens size in the 15.0 to 17.0 mm range, front surface toricity, quadrant-specific peripheral adjustments, multifocal optics with near zone decentration, and more.
